is there a shoutbox type extension?

   Hi JC,

   Where and how do you intend to use this shoutbox? If you’re looking for something that can be implemented on the product page, here’s a great extension that might meet your needs: Discussion Magento Extension

   It allows the store owner to post replies to comments, so it can be used as a sort of product-specific support venue, but not necessarily. Users can post comments (not necessarily questions) without being a registered customer, comments can be moderated and posted without a reply, and all comments can be viewed by all customers. It’s also very lightweight and easy to install.

   Hi Magentist, thanks for your response. Although that extension is not quite what Im looking for Im glad you mentioned it as I think I can use that for some thing else.

   What Im looking for for this particular project is something like the discussion board on the right handside of woot.com. I know woot.com pulls these posts from their forum which actually would work for us as well. But we really just need the simple feature of a shoutbox for our sites registered users.

   When I refer to shoutbox Im thinking such things as:

   shoutmix.com
   sbox.ws
   myshoutbox.com

   Just a really simple generic discussion board. The site Im working on is a daily deels site so the discussion is just random posts of comments, questions and gibberish on todays deal.

   If you have any other suggestions, that’d be great.
